Financial trouble is all around us and it can find just about anyone to make a victim of – if you let it. Don’t. Yes, money problems are the most common kind of disaster most of us can (and likely will) face. But there are things you can do to help your odds here.

The one and only Daisy Luther at the Organic Prepper posted a great survival strategy for this most common of disasters. Please read her work and pay attention.

“But, there is ONE major disaster that is the most likely to befall any of us at some point in our lives and it isn’t zombies, North Koreans, or the plague.

It’s financial problems.

You may be currently having this issue right now. Maybe you don’t make enough money. Maybe the primary breadwinner has lost his or her job. Maybe someone has massive medical expenses. Maybe there is some other epic expense that you never saw coming.

It doesn’t matter how it happens – it just matters that you see it as something for which you need to prepare. Financially stability is one of the most important preparations you can make.”

-Luther

Daisy gives three key ways to fight off financial troubles. These are age-old but well worth reconsidering. They are:

One. Cut Your Expenses

Separate out what you want from what you really need. There are many ways to reduce the monthly budget. Every dollar you save is one that will be there in case of emergency.

Two. Stock Up: Buy LOW

When things are on sale and you have the money to spend, that is the time to get them. Then, you will be insulated when or if things go bad later.

This applies to food, clothes, supplies, and just about anything you need throughout the year. Make those wise shopping decisions to make the budget work for you.

Three. Have an Emergency Fund

A recent study shows most Americans do not have $500 cash for a minor emergency (Daisy uses another study for $1,000). Either way, that is not a lot of money these days. And, that so many can’t cover either shows something is off.

Gain an advantage by stockpiling a little money for a rainy day. Daisy gives good advice on how to do this and, if you look around, you will find numerous other easy plans.

Just do it.

As Daisy notes, a little rain may fall on anyone’s money parade. Prepare now so you can weather the rain then.

You can find Daisy on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.

It helps to remember that, since 1913, the U.S. financial and monetary system has been a complete, total, and illegal scam. If you’re having financial troubles, you are not alone. However, even in the midst of a distress, there are things you can do to make things better.

Thanks to Daisy for the good advice. The key is probably staying ahead of the game in the first place. That’s where her tips are especially strong. Make money, keep money, and stay out of debt!
