Puerto Rico showed us, last year, the effects of a severe hurricane on a fragile power grid. They’ve struggled to get the lights back on. And,just when, the juice is flowing, a more common and lowly disaster struck. A tree fell. One tree. And it knocked out power to most of the island.
Crews race to restore the flow but CNN reports nearly 900,000 customers are still without electricity after a week. It never rains but it pours, PR. This is another example of wanting to not necessarily trust government and the power company. Another reason to prep.
