The short barrelled or sawed-off shotgun has been the subject of controversy for decades. One was at the center of the Supreme Court case of U.S. v. Miller (1939), which defined Second Amendment “law” (incorrectly) for 70 years.
These are somewhat hated and feared guns. The AR-15 has replaced them as the left’s favorite weapon to deride but there’s still a stigma. Many assume the guns are flatly illegal. For now, they are not, not all of them.
