No one likes a road accident. They’re inconvenient and sometimes necessitate consulting with emergency services. Now! A pilot program in Dubai make take some of the work out of that consultation. New digital, RFID-transponder tags could detect an accident and call the cops or fire department for you.
They could also do this even without an accident. And they would allow big brother to monitor your every vehicular move. This could conceivably include shutting the car off if they don’t want you driving. Dubai is a long way from America. But, we already have news of a similar pilot in New Jersey with the digital driver’s’ license. Dollar to a donut this is headed to the US. Hello “safety,” goodbye liberty.
