Americans awoke Saturday morning to the news we all should have known was coming. The US, the UK, and France launched missile attacks at various targets in Syria. This assault was lead by the same Donald J. Trump who spent years criticizing the previous administration for Syrian involvement. This is complete and utter insanity, a dire threat to world peace and American competence.
The odds are that there was no chemical attack. There’s been no evidence showing, if there was, that Assad did it. It is none of our business; no American interests whatsoever. It appears the limited attacks were mostly failures. The move pushes the risk of real war with a nuclear power, Russia. Cool heads may avert total disaster but, for the sane, the damage is done. The US government has no credibility. Pathetic.
