The commies are coming! The commies are coming! Yes, in California they are coming for your guns and ammo. And, if you happen to live in the Golden State, then they might mean you and your neighbors.
The staff at Off The Grid News has an alarming story about CA Ballot Proposition 63. This evil measure would ban gun magazines that hold more than ten rounds. Some say it could lead to door-to-door confiscation. This measure is up for consideration by the citizens this November.
The prospects are not encouraging. As a wise man once said, “The people are the best guardians of their own liberty” but “that the people are the worst enemies to themselves.”
This insane, Draconian, anti-freedom initiative would do the following:
- Ban magazines of over 10 rounds;
- Lead to existing firearms confiscation;
- Bar private ammunition sales;
- Require a background check for ammunition purchases; and
- Require lost guns be reported to local police.
In other words, it kills individual liberty at every turn and places the citizens deeper in the holds of the state. And it is retroactive. Any existing magazine over 10 rounds would either have to be moved to a better state, turned over to local tyrants, or risk being seized by storm-troopers.
Any person caught with an “illegal” magazine faces up to a year in jail. This bill would do nothing to fight crime. Rather, it would turn otherwise law-abiding people into criminals. Real criminals would be unaffected.
This sort of tyranny is what the Founders had in mind when they drafted the Second Amendment. And if this succeeds in California, don’t think they won’t try to bring it to your state next.
There’s a reason why decent people are fleeing Commiefornia in droves. The earthquakes and droughts are offset by the natural beauty of the land. However the political climate worsens every year.
Prop. 63 must be one of the absolute worst anti-freedom gun control measures in America today. Those in Cali must fight this tyranny. The rest of us must be on guard. Be your own guardian, not your own enemy.
