In short, either animal is a great livestock starter. They take up little room. They don’t eat that much. They’re pretty easy to take care of (heck, free-range chickens take care of themselves mostly. They reproduce/breed well. And, most importantly, they’re both good sources of DIY protein.

 

So, pick one, the other, or both. As an extra, I’ve observed that goats react very well in the immediate presence of both hares and fowl. Consider a trio of meat pets.
